Don’t you just love sports analogies? I mean, nobody quits at halftime, right?
So let’s get on with a sports analogy, shall we?
But this time, let’s make it actually fit the situation.
So, here are the rules:
- For every basket a team makes from 5 feet or closer, both teams get 1 point.
- For every basket a team makes between 5 and 10 feet, the shooting team gets 1.1 points, and the other team gets 0.9 points.
- For every basket a team makes between 10 and 15 feet, the shooting team gets 1.3 points, and the other team gets 0.7 points.
- For every basket from 15-22 feet (the 3 point line), the shooting team gets 1.5 points, the other team gets 0.5 points.
- For a successful 3 point shot, the shooting team gets 2 points, the opposing team gets 1 point.
- For a successful shot from half court, the shooting team gets 2.5 points, the opposing team gets 0.5 points.
- For a successful shot from the opposite baseline, the shooting team gets all three points.
- There are unlimited fouls.
- Each successful foul shot is worth 0.5 points for each team.
Oh, and the team with the 20 point lead gets the ball to start the second half.
PLAY BALL!
